Wetoo are using Mimecast, but what we found is that this is occurring with our internal exchange server. Our users scan from a copier to their email and the file opens in browser but not in Acrobat. We have attempted: Opening the browser and saving it as PDF, Microsoft print to PDF, and Adobe PDF. None work. Repairing Acrobat.
Todo this select -> File Explorer add-ons in PowerToys, and then select the -> Preview Pane to 'on' and under "Thumbnail Icon Preview" to 'on'. It worked straight away for me without a reboot. So now, now errors with Adobe Acrobat and also no explorer crashing, and it works faster. Hoipe this helps.
Theeight machines are Dell with Windows 10 Pro x64-bit. It does not matter if the anti-virus is on or off. It does not matter if it is an older Windows machine (been in service for a year) or a fresh out of the box and fresh image. We are required to have Acrobat Pro 32-bit. Acrobat Pro 64-bit will not run some of our vendor plug-ins. Windows10 1809 (Build 17763.253) Adobe Acrobat 2017. Adobe Acrobat is up to date (no updates available). Unfortunately, extracting the file and then opening it is no solution. That works, of course. I closed and re-opened Windows explorer and found I could open any one of the pdf files, but on the second try to open a pdf file the Launchthe software, choose Help > Repair Acrobat Installation, and follow the instructions on the screen. Once the repair process is complete, simply restart your PC and check if the issue is still CV4k.
