The 2.7 HDi does indeed use JWS3309 fluid whereas the 3.0 HDi uses JWS3324 fluid. I've read online you can use JWS3324 in a 2.7 but you CANNOT use JWS3309 in a 3.0, however Citroen specify different oils for both so I wanted one that only said it did 1 job and wasn't a "bit of both".
