Sep 3, 2020. #1. Has anyone looked into supercharging their 5.7? I supercharged my previous 5.7 Tundra and was considering doing the same with my Ram (current Ram is a 2019 Laramie crew cab). And yes, I know the TRX is out there, but if what everyone says is true, then they are all spoken for. Gotta make the most of what you got, right.

Trade up. The SRT has larger brakes, a better suspension, better seats, and has the computer and technology to run properly with the supercharger set up. I own a 5.7 Overland High Altitude. I test drove a SRT. The SRT handles much, much better than the standard GC. Toyota Racing Development (TRD) engineered its own supercharger kit for the 5.7-liter Hemi. It is a dealer-installed option that predated the Hellcat by five years. Because it’s a dealer kit, you could order it in any Tundra. The regular cab/short bed supercharged Tundra with a TRD lowering kit was the world’s fastest full-size truck for years. None that I have seen that had any issues with the stock internals. The 5.7L is a great engine as long as you have a good safe tune and do not exceed 8 psi. There are some though that have gone higher than 8 psi without internal engine mods. 2013 Charger RT.
